The Ultimate Baby Registry Cheat-Sheet
Gear:
Infant Car seat
The car seat is by far one of the most important aspects of any baby registry. The moment you decide to take your baby anywhere– you will need to make sure you have a safe and secure car seat for them. There are two particular types: an infant car seat and the convertible car seat. Infant car seats will normally be used for the baby’s first year and then going forward is where you would utilize the convertible car seat. We decided to go with the Graco SnugRide Infant Car Seat for baby Harper as it’s super easy to install, has an adjustable base, is lightweight (which makes it easy for Cory to carry) and is super safe for the baby!
Bassinet
Bassinets are perfect for sleep training your newborn baby. The convenience of a bassinet will allow you to keep an eye on the baby while they’re asleep in your room. We knew the SNOO Smart Sleeper Bassinet would be perfect for our household. It combines gentle rocking with soothing white noise to help keep the baby asleep! The material of the bassinet also makes it easy for us to keep a close eye on baby Harper as she’s sleeping to make sure she’s okay.
Stroller
A stroller that is both perfect for your lifestyle and successfully and safely gets the job done when it comes to your baby is key. When you find a stroller that meets your needs– it will not only make your life so much easier, but the baby’s as well. When it came to picking a stroller for baby Harper, we knew we would need a specific one for mom and a specific one for dad. The first stroller we selected was the Nuna Pipa Lite Stroller which was super easy to convert and break down, and then we selected the Stokke Xplory Adjustable Stroller as the comfort and safety for baby girl was truly unmatched!
Crib
Selecting a crib for baby Harper was one of the most important things for us. Of course when it comes to the crib, the #1 thing should be the safety of the baby. Based on extensive research, we selected Sloane 4-in-1 acrylic convertible crib that grows as the baby grows. Transforming in a crib, toddler bed, daybed and sofa— this Delta Children’s crib met all of our requirements and looks super chic in Harper’s room!
Diapering:
Newborn Diapers
Including newborn diapers on your baby registry is somewhat a no brainer. You can literally never have too many diapers (or wipes)! Making sure you have enough diapers and the right sized diaper for your little one is essential. We included a couple of options on as registry– the Pure Protection diapers from Pampers and and the Honest Company diapers. Both of these brands are perfect for baby Harper as they contact 0% chlorine bleaching, fragrance, parabens or latex. They’re hypoallergenic, absorbent and durable for the baby.
Feeding:
Bottles
When it comes to bottles, it’s important that you make sure you have the exact bottle your baby latches to. Some mama’s are lucky and have a baby that will take any bottle you may give them, however other babies may be a bit pickier in their bottle choice. Although we aren’t quite sure what babygirl will like until her arrival, we still made sure to include bottles on our registry. These Nursh Silicon Pouch Bottles by Boon are 100% silicon pouches that continuously collapse as the baby drinks so less air gets into their tummy. Not only do these bottles get the job done, but they’re also super cute for baby Harper!
Pacifiers
Next to bottles, pacifiers are the holy grail for babies! I personally feel like you can never have too many pacifiers sitting around the house for the baby– making sure there’s always one ready to go just in case. These pacifiers by BIBS are made with all natural rubber and mimics the shape and softness of your breast. I’m really excited to try these for baby Harper, as anything that is 100% natural definitely pulls me in.
Bibs and Burp Cloths
They say you’ll rarely find a parent without a burp cloth draped over their shoulder– it’s me, I’m that parent. When adding bibs and burp cloths to my registry, I wanted to make sure they were absorbent enough and were gentle enough against baby Harper’s skin. Burt’s Bees Baby Organic Burp Cloths were perfect, as they come in a pack of 5 and include various colors. We also added Aden + Anais Classic Burpy Bibs as they’ll be perfect for protecting the baby from spit-up on her clothes.
Breast Pump
Being that I’ll be breastfeeding for as long as possible, I wanted to invest in a breast pump that would be beneficial for me and baby Harper. We decided to go with the Spectra Rechargeable Breast Pump which is perfect for bringing me the ultimate comfort and confidence when feeding the baby. It includes a vacuum suction and massage mode which allows the stimulation of the baby’s natural suckling. The backflow protection definitely sold me as it helps remove all harmful toxins and bacteria from my breast milk.
Grooming:
Baby Grooming Kit
Fridababy’s Baby Grooming Kit literally has everything we will need to keep up with baby Harper’s head-to-toe grooming. It includes a finger brush, nail scissors, a nail file, and a hair brush and comb. Of course these won’t be items we’ll need to use everyday, but it’s good to have on hand for those times when we will need them.
Creating baby Harper’s registry has us even more excited as we anticipate her arrival! Although you can never truly be completely prepared for baby’s arrival, this list is a guiding source and the ultimate cheat sheet and aiding you in making sure you at least include the necessities when putting your baby registry together.
